During 2016 the company expanded and started supplying staging, sound and lights at various outdoor events and festivals which has developed into one of the core services of the company.
In 2017 R&R Productions was rebranded to MagiCo SA when we introduced Audio Visual to the current product range and the addition of their first large sound system in mid 2017.
Since we hosted a large number of festivals in South Africa over the last 5 years. Although our main market is large scale events we believe that all events matter, catering from small corporate events too big outdoor festivals.
Today MagiCo SA is a well established company situated in Vereeniging in the Vaal Triangle.
DIRECTORS
Ruan Vermaak
(Chief Operating Officer)
Ruan started working part time as a crew member for a sound company at the age of 16. His passion for sound was transformed to a full-time job after matriculating in 2014. After which he started a company formerly known as R&R Productions.
He has since worked as a sound engineer for various artists, touring the country, and amongst others doing sound engineering at the Varsity Cup opening in 2016, which was broadcasted directly on Super Sport.
Ruan is also well skilled as a Lighting Engineer having completed numerous courses in lighting, and the control thereof. Having worked at the Etienne Rousseau Theatre in Sasolburg. Ruan is well experienced in the programming of shows as well as lighting the stage for the music video of Touch of Class in March 2017. Also finding his way into the LED screen market he has done mapping of numerous video shoots and large-scale events.
Ruan has since been certified as a Bose Showmatch DeltaQ designer, as well as a Smart V8 certified operator. Along with other qualifications such as a Prolyte rigging course, Avolites and Short Course on Theatre Technology at the North West University to name only a few.
Sephiwe Matsetela
(Chief Financial Officer)
Sephiwe is a visionary and a strategist Director who started Legogo IT and Projects Company in 2006, a leading revenue enhancement service with local government. The company has achieved remarkable success, providing revenue enhancement services at multiple municipalities across the country and in generating billions of rands in addition revenue to those municipalities.
Legogo IT and Projects has implemented the Municipal Property Rates Act (MPRA) at numerous municipalities throughout the country. The Company has vast experience in the compilation of complete valuation rolls, property registers as per section 23 of the MPRA, data clean up and revenue enhancement.
Sephiwe holds a B-Tech Logistics from the Technikon Witwatersrand now University of Johannesburg and further obtained National Diploma Real Estate from Cape Peninsula (CPUT). He is a registered Professional Associate Valuer with the South African Council for Property Valuers Profession (SACPVP).
Sephiwe joined MagiCo SA company as a 51% share holder in November 2023 after having a vast interest in the music and entertainment industry.
